Pancreatobiliary Pathology Society is seeking volunteers for Grossing and Cytology Working Groups positions
Dear Pancreatobiliary Pathology Society (PBPS) members and other interested parties in the pancreatobiliary pathology community,
PBPS is seeking for enthusiastic volunteers for Grossing and Cytology Working Groups positions. Applicants need to be active members in (or they can join) the PBPS.
Each working group will have 5 members: Two co-chairs and 3 members. Term for all members is 2 years.
Responsibilities of the grossing working group
(1) Assess the current state and possible improvements in the pathologic evaluation of pancreas specimens through literature analysis.
(2) Collate the literature and opinions of experts including surgical or medical subspecialists and create a written consensus document on basic guidelines for the pathologic evaluation of pancreas specimens.
Responsibilities of the cytology working group
(1) Assess the current state and possible improvements in the cytologic evaluation of pancreas specimens byobtaining feedback from national cytopathology societies.
(2) Present on timely or guidelines topics as well as regulatory and/or other issues at the PBPS annual meeting.
In addition to these responsibilities, each working group will generate a case report to be published on the website once a year.
